Department of Ophthalmology

On behalf of all my colleagues, greetings and welcome to the Ophthalmology department at Horus University. We are committed to the pursuit of excellence in all our missions. We believe that the success of our department depends on the quality of the clinical care, teaching and research activity we provide. Our dedicated faculty members have diverse interests including medical retina, strabismus, cataract, glaucoma, investigative ophthalmology and orbit. We have a vibrant teaching and learning environment. We have a daily outpatient clinic at Horus University with increasing number of patients. The faculty of Ophthalmology department provide compassionate, skilled and state-of-art care covering all ophthalmic subspecialities. We recently added a weekly specialized squint clinic.

The undergraduates’ medical students of Horus University receive an exceptional training preparing them for their future medical practice in different specialties.

Faculty members in the Department of Ophthalmology conduct groundbreaking research in clinical research. Our faculty members are frequently invited to lecture and educate at national and international conferences.

We prioritize the teaching and leadership growth of our young ophthalmologists. The continuing education and professional development of ophthalmologist in our region is a corner-stone philosophy in Ophthalmology department.
