Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Department Activities

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Medicine, Horus University is committed to enhancing the educational process through a variety of scientific activities aimed at developing students’ academic and clinical skills.

These activities include regular scientific lectures, case-based discussions focusing on common obstetric and gynecological conditions, and interactive learning sessions that promote critical thinking and clinical reasoning.

The department incorporates practical training through Skills Lab and simulation-based education, allowing students to acquire essential clinical skills, such as physical examination and case management, in a safe and controlled learning environment.

Clinical exposure is further strengthened through collaboration with Al-Azhar University Hospital, providing students with external clinical training opportunities and direct exposure to real-life cases under expert supervision.

The department also contributes to organizing and participating in seminars and workshops, while encouraging students to engage in presentations and research-related activities, fostering self-directed learning and academic development.

Faculty members actively keep up with recent advances by attending national and international conferences and continuously integrating updated knowledge into teaching practices.
