The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Medicine, Horus University is an clinical department committed to delivering high-quality medical education based on modern scientific standards, with a focus on preparing competent future physicians. 

At present, the department primarily focuses on undergraduate teaching through comprehensive theoretical lectures supported by clinical training in outpatient settings. This allows students to develop essential clinical skills, including history taking, physical examination, and the management of common obstetric and gynecological conditions. 

The department’s clinical activities include antenatal care for normal pregnancies, providing different types of contraceptive methods and the evaluation and management of common gynecological conditions within outpatient clinics, ensuring adherence to professional ethics and quality standards. 

In addition, the department promotes scientific and research-oriented thinking among students and encourages continuous learning, while faculty members actively participate in academic and scientific activities to enhance the educational process. 

The department aspires to expand in the future through the establishment of a fully equipped university hospital, which will enhance advanced clinical training opportunities and support the provision of comprehensive healthcare services in accordance with the highest quality standards.
